For the first time in PGA Tour history, the FedExCup playoffs will drop from four to four events, and also the 2019 variant of the Northern Trust kicks off the postseason at Liberty National Golf Club at Jersey City, New Jersey this week.
At BetOnline, Brooks Koepka is the +800 preferred to win the first playoff occasion with Rory McIlroy (+1100), Jon Rahm (+1400), Dustin Johnson (+1600), Justin Thomas (+1800), Justin Rose (+2000), Patrick Cantlay (+2200), Rickie Fowler (+2200), Tiger Woods (+2500) along with Tommy Fleetwood (+2500) rounding out the top 10.

This marks Woods’ initial event since missing the cut at the Open Championship in Northern Ireland and only his fifth tournament since winning the Masters in April. When Adam Scott emerged triumphant, the last time was again back in 2013. Scott is +4000 to record yet another success this time around.
The champion of the Northern Trust receives 2,000 FedExCup points, even because the play sees the points as gamers try to earn their way to East Lake in Atlanta in the Tour Championship and a shot in the $15-million prize. Only the best 70 players are entitled to begin at Medinah next week, so 55 guys will find themselves outside of the clip line before the BMW Championship.
Bryson DeChambeau is back to defend his name after opening last season’s FedExCup match with a win in the Northern Trust as it was held in Ridgewood Country Club. The American’s third-round 63 — that comprised nine birdies — gave him a four-shot lead before Sunday that??he parlayed to a snobby win.
The course, a 7,370-yard level 71, boasts one of the best skylines in golf with views of downtown New York City and the Statue of Liberty from the background. Over $300 million has been set into the course to ensure it is a prime destination on the PGA Tour on what used to be an industrial wasteland.
