In the aftermath of Manchester City winning its second Premier League title in a row, chances have hit on the board to its 2019-20 Premier League season and once again, oddsmakers have tabbed the Citizens since the favorites to lift the trophy roughly 1 year from today.
Online shop Bovada opened City at -150 to win the next year’s league title while this year’s runner-up, Liverpool, is next at +275.
Liverpool pushed City to the final afternoon, hoping for Pep Guardiola and his side to fall points away to Brighton, which, as we all know, did not occur. The Blues face a bit of a stern test following year as they’re sitting on a transfer ban during the following two windows. This usually means that there will be no incoming transports at summer time or winter however outgoings will be possible.
Additionally, if the most recent rumors are to be believed, Chelsea celebrity Eden Hazard is already on his way to Real Madrid in a move that will be finalized after the Europa League final against Arsenal.
One thing to notice is the promoted clubs from The Championship aren’t finalized as of yet. We know for sure that both Norwich and Sheffield United are coming after finishing first and second respectively, but Leeds, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby are in the playoff to determine who the next and final team will be.
