Oddsmakers Tab Manchester City as Betting Favorite to Win 2019-20 Premier League
In the aftermath of Manchester City winning its second Premier League title in a row, chances have hit on the board to its 2019-20 Premier League season and once again, oddsmakers have tabbed the Citizens since the favorites to lift the trophy roughly 1 year from today.
Online shop Bovada opened City at -150 to win the next year’s league title while this year’s runner-up, Liverpool, is next at +275.
Liverpool pushed City to the final afternoon, hoping for Pep Guardiola and his side to fall points away to Brighton, which, as we all know, did not occur. City ended up dropping 4-1 while Liverpool trumped Wolves 2-0 at Anfield to finish the season one stage behind on 97 points. An points haul no matter the season.
Third on the oddsboard is Tottenham. Spurs finished fourth in the league on 71 points despite amassing just 11 in their final dozen games of this campaign.
Manchester United is fourth in +1400 that’s a bit surprising considering the way the Red Devils shut the effort. United ended in sixth with 66 points and seems to be dysfunctional under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as it was under Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea is next up at +2000 and is coming from a third-placed complete with 72 points. The Blues face a bit of a stern test following year as they’re sitting on a transfer ban during the following two windows. This usually means that there will be no incoming transports at summer time or winter however outgoings will be possible.
Additionally, if the most recent rumors are to be believed, Chelsea celebrity Eden Hazard is already on his way to Real Madrid in a move that will be finalized after the Europa League final against Arsenal.
One thing to notice is the promoted clubs from The Championship aren’t finalized as of yet. We know for sure that both Norwich and Sheffield United are coming after finishing first and second respectively, but Leeds, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby are in the playoff to determine who the next and final team will be.
