Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows age is no barrier by breaking LA Galaxy club record with hat-trick

Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a hat-trick and bankrupt LA Galaxy’s club record for goals in a season in their victory over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday night.
Even the 37-year-old scored his 24th, 25th and 26th aims of the effort snap a four-match winless run.
Ibrahimovic scored his first goal following his penalty was saved before exceeding the past goalscoring record of Carlos Ruiz with 2 left-footed strikes.
Uriel Antuna, joe Corona plus a dual from Sebastian Lletget helped Galaxy.
Ibrahimovic has scored 48 goals in 51 games at the MLS.
“I believe I’m the best ever to play in MLS. And that’s without joking,” Ibrahimovic explained.
“Scoring goals is simple, you just need to be similar to Zlatan and it is coming,” said the former Manchester United striker, who’s just two aims behind top scorer Carlos Vela.
“I strive to help the team in the best way and that is by scoring goals. I scored and I have to keep going, that is to score goals and I need to help my team and make it easier.
“It’s a wonderful outcome, it was a great game.
“The result says something else however, the first half was very even, we performed with a good team which plays great football. In the second we had been more powerful and we had been scoring so that has been the gap if we got the opportunities.
“It’s fine, we still have four games to move. To acquire, to get the confidence, even to score goals for the goal gap. Everybody did a good job, even though we were a tiny bit tired in the end, however, we did a pretty great job.”
LA Galaxy moved into a point forward of San Jose, fifth place in the Western Alliance and just two facing Portland.
